My Why

Every candidate who has ever launched a campaign for public office has had to answer the simple question,  why run?

I'll be honest, it isn't so simple to answer.

My years as a reporter and news anchor are behind me and it would be so easy to kick back and drop out.  

However, weighing the options for the future I've concluded I can't ignore the debt owed to past generations nor to the generations following in our footsteps.

I'm in it to win it, but I can't do it alone.
