SD11 DFL Convention Delegates Endorse Michelle Lee for Senate
5/8/2020 MOOSE LAKE, MN--During its first ever on-line convention, Senate District 11 delegates have endorsed Michelle Lee for Minnesota State Senate. In response to COVID-19 the Minnesota DFL Party Executive Committee made the decision to move local convention activities away from in-person meetings and conduct party business via an online balloting system. This decision was made to ensure all DFL Party events are in compliance with recommendations from public health officials. “I’m grateful to the MN DFL Party leadership who worked diligently to develop a fair balloting process during these difficult times. I look forward to working with them and Senate District 11 delegates to take back our seat in St. Paul and win a DFL majority in the Minnesota Senate,” said Lee. Lee said a DFL majority will be critical in the years ahead, as we rebuild systems in a post COVID-19 world. “This pandemic has taken its toll on lives and livelihoods across Minnesota and our nation. Life has changed dramatically and yet, as DFL’ers we stand united, indivisible and committed in our belief that people come first,” Lee added. The Michelle Lee for Senate Campaign is endorsed by MAPE, AFSCME Council 5, Women Winning, Minnesota NOW, Land Stewardship Action Fund, the DFL Veterans Caucus and the DFL Senior Caucus. An advocate for rural communities, party activist and former journalist, Lee makes her home in Moose Lake Township with her husband, Gary.
