Congratulations to Senator, Jason Rarick. I wish him the best of luck representing the folks who call Senate District 11 home. As the late Senator Paul Wellstone said we all do better when we all do better. If 2020 has taught us anything it is this, we must set aside our differences and join forces to do everything within our power to combat the devastating toll Covid 19 continues to have on lives and livelihoods and lift up our communities in the months and years ahead. During my senate campaign I met hundreds of people who shared their personal stories. I am grateful for their trust in me. I am also grateful to others in my life. No one begins a campaign of this magnitude without the support of their family. I am grateful for the support of mine. No one gets through a campaign without the support of friends and volunteers. Thank you for standing with me in 2020! In the middle of a deadly pandemic we ran one hell of a campaign! I am in awe of the members of my kitchen cabinet who have guided me. From rallies to lit drops we figured out how to bring people together in a meaningful and “covid careful”way to talk about critical issues impacting families in our district. I also thank those who contributed financially in the hopes of making a positive difference in the lives of their friends and neighbors. Together we share something bigger than each of us alone. We shared a deep and passionate desire to make life better for our families and communities. Early on, we vowed that for as long as this campaign continued we would conduct ourselves with civility, honesty and decency. Leading up to this election we discussed the issues as we saw them, presented our policies with sincerity, frankness and candor. We never wavered. MY heart is full and I have no regrets. |
