MN Representative Mary Kunesh-Podein, D-New Brighton, moderated a panel discussion today at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

Rep. Kunesh-Podein authored legislation establishing a state task force now working to find answers and seek solutions to this epidemic of violence against girls and women.

56% of Native woman experience violence in their lifetime. I agree with today's panelists, we must all join forces to end a culture that allows one in two women to fall victim to violence.

It was an honor to visit with Kunesh-Podein today and talk about our 2020 campaigns to serve in the Minnesota State Senate to work on this and other critical issues facing the people of Senate Districts 11 and 41.
