Like you, I’m deeply disappointed that Senate Republicans adjourned the special session in St. Paul without reaching an agreement on a bonding bill to fund important public construction projects and put people back to work. COVID-19 has taken a devastating toll in both lives and the livelihoods of working families across the state of Minnesota. We must invest now to rebuild in a post pandemic world.
Governor Walz knows that local projects mean local jobs. That’s why he is proposing $2.03 billion in General Obligation bonds to make these critical investments in communities across the state and ensure all Minnesotans enjoy a high quality of life, regardless of race or zip code.
