Restoring in Enhancing Resources
Today I had the opportunity to observe the Governor’s Council on Minnesota’s Lake Superior Coastal Program in action during its meeting in Duluth. The Coastal Program's goal is to preserve, protect, develop, and where possible, restore or enhance coastal resources along the North Shore. Making a Difference Members of the Governor’s Council make recommendations to the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources on grant priorities, projects to receive grant funding, and the program's annual administrative budget. Carlton County members on the council are Dan Belden and Dick Brenner. Members are appointed by the governor.
