entering my 8th decade.

It struck me recently I'm entering my 8th decade of life. Oofdah when the hell did that happen?   I'm 70 years old.  Most days I don't feel old, but there it is in black and white.  70!

Life has taught me many things and hopefully I am still learning and working to be more accepting of new pains and difficult people. While I've spent a life-time trying very hard, I now understand I can't change the world.  I can, however, change the way I react and do what I can to remain happy and healthy during the time I have left in the world.  

One of the things that makes me happy is growing my hair.  Let me explain. When I worked on television anchor hair was short and neat.  For years that's how I wore my hair.  After I retired I decided to grow hair long enough to braid as a link to my Swedish American roots.  Here's the latest update on that.  My braid is almost in reach!

My plan is to use this blog as a senior diary. Not sure if my musings will be of any interest to anyone.... but everyone has the option to log off this page.
